Beach volleyball competitions were held as part of the XI Summer Universiade of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The team of girls and boys of EKTU held a final meeting with the team of Al - Farabi KazNU.
As a result, both teams of the university took 2nd place. The first place was won by the team of Al - Farabi KazNU. A total of 24 teams took part in the competition.
The teams were coached by the head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, the President of the National Federation of Student and School Volleyball League of the East Kazakhstan region, the National Sports Judge of the Republic of Kazakhstan in volleyball of the highest category Bolatbek Daumov and the chairman of the EKTU sports club, the head coach of the national volleyball team Symbat Bekbosynov.
