The Rector of EKSTU Professor Shaimardanov has started a visit to a number of institutions in the USA from 22-29 September 2019. The Rectors delegation includes the first Vice-Rector Dr Saule Rakhmetullina, the Vice Rector for innovation and research, Professor Oleg Gavrilienko, Ms Danel Askarova from the international office and Mr Dmitriy Dogadkin – research engineer of EKSTU.
The delegation is visiting the Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT), Colorado School of Mines, Western Michigan University, Western Colorado University and the American council for international education, Washington DC, USA.
This visit will go a long way to create new partnerships and enhance already existing partnerships between EKSTU and some of these universities. This business trip to the USA will play a significant role in the internationalization vision of the Rector of EKSTU.
This will lead to staff and PhD student exchange visits, collaborative externally funded research programmes like the one we already have with Western Michigan University, joint PhD programmes and new undergraduate exchange programmes.
