The Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin visits the EKSTU to meet with faculty members and youth of the East Kazakhstan region.
The meeting was opened by the Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region Daniyal Akhmetov. The Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin told about results of the year and long-term plans for the development of science in the coming years.
As the Mazhilis Chairman said, we are entering a new world built on a digital society ruled by knowledge economy. And undoubtedly, Kazakhstan must meet the challenges and keep pace with the times. That is why, all the efforts of the state are oriented towards preparation of the country to the next stage of development and building a strong Kazakhstan. Not surprisingly, the young generation of Kazakhstanis is a key factor in the competitiveness of our country in the modern world.
N.Z. Nigmatullin focused attention on youth support programs developed on the initiative of the Elbasy. The Speaker of the Mazhilis emphasized the importance of the decision of the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to declare 2020 the Year of the Volunteer. Nurlan Nigmatulin talked with representatives of volunteer organizations of the region and answered their questions.
After the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the research and production complex of the university and the results of R&D.
