The other day, the Chairman of the Board-Rector Zhassulan Shaimardanov, a researcher at the Center of Excellence Bagdat Azamatov and the head of the contract research office Marzhan Toguzova visited the NURIS Technopark at Nazarbayev University in Nur-Sultan.
They got acquainted with the innovative cluster of the university - the Technopark, laboratories, the Machine Shop prototyping center, and their implemented projects.
The university demonstrated prototypes of medical products made on our equipment. These are various implants in the form of plates, bone screws, implants for stabilizing the spine, as well as dental frameworks.
In addition, they presented copies of archaeological artifacts found in the Berel burial mounds and Elek Sazy of the East Kazakhstan region. Copies were made using 3D scanning and selective laser sintering technologies.
We discussed several areas of cooperation with our colleagues. First, the joint production of implant prototypes, using the maximum capabilities of two universities. This collaboration will allow the development of the domestic market of medical devices.
Second, the joint publication of scientific articles of the teaching staff in high-ranking journals.
As a result of the meeting, we agreed to hold the event "Days of EKTU at Nazarbayev University". We plan to show all the possibilities of our university to NU colleagues and students.
The event will allow university scientists to exchange experiences and find areas for joint research.
