Program Relevance:
The educational program "Metallurgy" is aimed at preparing graduates to carry out research, industrial-technological and design-technological types of professional activity in various areas of metallurgy and includes the analysis and implementation of technological processes in various areas of metallurgical production.
Graduates of the educational program will be able to conduct experimental researches; to carry out technical and economic analysis of development of projects of new and reconstruction of operating shops, industrial units and equipment; to carry out technological processes of reception and processing of metals and alloys, and also products from them; to carry out actions for environmental protection from technogenic influences of production; to carry out actions for quality assurance of production; to organize workplaces, to carry out their technical equipment.

Objective of EP:
Training of highly qualified specialists through the formation of general cultural and professional-specific competencies that allow the graduate to work successfully in the mining and metallurgical industry, contributing to its social mobility and competitiveness in the labor market. Training of qualified specialists in the field of mineral and anthropogenic raw materials processing, production and processing of non-ferrous and rare metals, as well as products made of them.
Competence model of a graduate
- Knowledge of the current state and the development prospects of the mining and metallurgical industry;
- ability to use normative legal documents in his/her professional activity;
- implementation and adjustment of technological processes in non-ferrous metallurgy;
- knowledge of the relationship between the composition of raw materials, technological processes and technical and economic indicators of the processes;
- the ability to design, present and report the results of the work performed;
- the ability to contribute to the prosperity of the society and take the leading positions in the spheres of activity on the development of the mining and metallurgical production and development of new technologies in the mining and metallurgical direction.
