What is it like meeting 40 years later at the alma-mater?
11 people came to the university to recall their student years. They are the class of 1979 of the Ust-Kamenogorskij stroitelno-dorozhnyj institut - former Ust-Kamenogorsk Road-Construction Institute. The First Vice Rector Saule Rakhmetullina and Academic Yuri Batalov came to greet the guests.
Graduates noted that the university gave them strong educational foundation that helped them to become successful in their professions. The participants truly felt like going back to the past: they sat at their desks in their former classrooms, remembered their teachers and interesting moments of their school year.
It included modernity as well - tours of the laboratories and the "Grand Altai" Museum made it clear that the university is confidently marching to the future, while also remembering traditions.
The visit turned out to be soulful. We are always glad to see our alumni at the EKSTU.
