The year of 2020 is declared the Year of Volunteers. A delegation from our university led by Ekaterina Dyukanova, Head of the EKSTU Volunteering Front Office is present at the event in the capital.
The head of state, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, at the opening of the republican front office of Birgemiz volunteers, emphasized the importance of the volunteer movement in the country. "Volunteering has become an expression of the highest degree of patriotism, backed up by concrete deeds. All who are here are patriots of our state. Love for the motherland is not loud slogans and empty declarations. This is daily work, including for the good of our people through good deeds, at the call of the soul", the President of Kazakhstan expressed his opinion.
During the opening of the front office, the work of the online platform qazvolunteer.kz and platforms in seven industry volunteering areas - Bilim, Qamqor, Úmit, Sabaqtastyq, Taza Álem and Saúlyq - were presented.
The front office is a consulting, methodological, training and information center that will coordinate and publicly monitor volunteer projects throughout the country. Among its other functions is the development of training programs, the organization of a unified information-image policy, and consulting the population through a call center.
Volunteers from our university are already actively helping residents of the city and are contributing to the development of the volunteer movement.
