EKTU and the Senseable City Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology implement a joint research project

Our university EKTU is now involved in a collaborative research project of national and international importance on the development of international smart cities.​

This research project is with researchers based in the Senseable City Laboratory at MIT directed by Professor Carlo Ratti. The research collaborators at the Senseable City Laboratory are Dr Fabio Duarte and Dr Simone Mora and Dr Umberto Fugiglando is managing this overseas research collaboration.

The EKTU has a team coordinated by Dr Saule Smailova and the team is supported by Professor Zhassulan Shaimardanov the Rector, Dr Saule Rakhmetullina the First Vice Rector​ and Professor Abraham Atta Ogwu the first Vice Rector for internationalisation.​
