Athletes of the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University reached the final of the beach volleyball tournament. Over the weekend, teams of girls and boys of the university played three games each, replenishing their piggy banks with points.
The women's team played with the teams of the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism as well as with the team of the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National University, winning with a score of 2:0. Yesterday the athletes played a game with the students of the Taraz Chemical-Technological Institute. The score is 2:0, in favor of the volleyball players of the technical university. Finally, the team of girls from EKTU will play a game with the team Al - Farabi KazNU.
The young men also achieved good results and made it to the finals. Volleyball players defeated the teams of the Taraz Chemical-Technological Institute and the Satpayev Kazakh National University with a score of 2:0. In the semifinals, the athletes played confidently with the students of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. The final battle for the gold medals of the XI Summer Universiade of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be held with the team of Al - Farabi KazNU.
This beach volleyball tournament is being held in Almaty as part of the XI Summer Universiade among the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan where more than 12 teams participate. On May 25, final games will take place in Almaty.
