On the press conference following the meeting of the Government, the Minister of Education and Science of the RK told about specializations for which the grants allocated additionally to children from large families and recipients of targeted social assistance by order of the Head of State would be directed.
A. Aimagambetov informed that demand on the labor market would determine specializations for which 5 thousand additional grants would be allocated, in addition to other nuances.
"Funds for allocating additional grants are sent by transfers to local executives bodies and local budgets. And market demand and need of certain specialists will determine necessary specializations in the context of each region," said the Minister.
In August, children from large families and recipients of targeted social assistance who were not able to receive grants in the general competition, will have the opportunity to submit additional applications to local akimats and receive corresponding grant, depending on the number of points scored.
"The total number of allocated grants is 5 thousand. And these grants will be allocated in the current year. In other words, recipients of these grants will be able to start school in our universities from 1 September of the current year," specified A. Aimagambetov.
