On 20 July, as a part of the delegation from Kazakhstan, representatives of the D. Serikbayev EKSTU visited Shenzhen University. During the meeting, issues of cooperation and student and faculty exchange were discussed. The dialogue was attended by representatives of universities of Kazakhstan headed by the Consul for Scientific and Technical Education of the PRC in Almaty, Mi Guysyun and included the D. Serikbayev EKSTU, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, S. Amanzholov EKGU, KIMEP, K. Satpaev KazNTU, "VShOZ" KazMU, KBTU, IMC, Vice President of Shenzhen University Du Hongwei, Department of International Exchange and Cooperation (International Office), School of Foreign Languages, Center for Health Sciences, School of Pharmacy, Medical Research Center, School of Fundamental Medical Sciences, School of Physics and Optoelectronic, School of Economics and Department of Construction at the School of Engineering.
Du Hongwei warmly welcomed the delegation of Kazakhstan and presented a development plan for the university. He noted that Shenzhen University is very young, but rapidly developing and in the recent years, its ranking among world universities has been steadily growing. The school attaches great importance to the international development; currently, it has established exchange and cooperation with students from almost 300 universities in the world.
Mi Guixiong, Consul for Science and Technology Education at the Consulate General of China in Almaty, said that the two governments attach great importance to exchanges and collaboration between universities. This year, eight of the best Kazakhstan universities were invited to participate in the Forum of the Presidents of China and Kazakhstan.
It is hoped that through this visit, cooperation between China and Kazakhstan will be further developed.
Representatives of the delegation of Kazakhstan talked about educational systems of their universities and discussed remote sensing technologies, information technologies, artificial intelligence, network security, data analysis, online courses, medicine, disease prevention and control, business research, etc.
