- Two employees of EKTU received the academic title - Associate P Vice-Rector for Research and Digitalization Natalia Denissova and Senior Lecturer Nadezhda Prokhorenkova at the School of Traditional and Alternative Energy.
- The EKTU hosted the International Scientific and Technical Conference “Advanced Materials Manufacturing and Technologies: new technologies and techniques (AMM&R 2021)”. Leading material scientists and engineers from four continents took part in the conference. More than 70 people have registered in total.
- EKTU and the Police Department of East-Kazakhstan region signed a Memorandum. Thanks to such cooperation, all conditions will be created for training and employment of modern, qualified and educated specialists.
- In the scientific library of D. Serikbayev EKTU, the Parasat Zholy Center was opened with the participation of the Rector Zhassulan Shaimardanov and the Head of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the East Kazakhstan region Yerlan Zhalmagambet.
- EKTU and Kazzinc have started joint implementation of several projects. This is volunteer work, the construction of sports ground for students of Serikbayev EKTU as well as expansion of science-intensive cooperation in metallurgy, enrichment, mechanical engineering and mining and geology.
- EKTU continues a project of implementation of the Anti-Corruption Management System for compliance with the international standard ISO 37001: 2016. On February 23-25, the second training was held to train a group of auditors on the implementation of this standard.
- EKTU launched a project of patronage over secondary schools. EKTU together with the Education Department of the East Kazakhstan region held meetings with the school directors of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Tarbagatai, Kokpekti, Zharminsk, Glubokoe, Ayagoz, Abay districts and Altai district.
