Volunteers from the EKSTU welcomed participants of the Presidential All-Around VIII Republican Universiade of Kazakhstan dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasr al Farabi Abu Nasyr. Teams from Pavlodar, Karaganda, Kostanay, and other cities arrived late by train due to weather conditions. Ust-Kamenogorsk experienced precipitation of almost a month's rate in a day. But according to specialists, this would not overshadow the progress of preparations and competitions, as the weather cleared up, and the track was pre-run.
The representative of the welcoming university Aibek Akayev wished success to the coaches and their teams. Although tired of the long trip, the students wished each other good luck. Upon arrival, participants in cross-country skiing immediately went to familiarize themselves with the track.
At this time, the trainers were actively registering at the EKSTU, and shared their expectations from the upcoming games. According to the trainers, only strong ones - winners of competitions of different levels - arrived, and each team cherished the hope of victory.
The chief judge of the Presidential all-around of the current year Bolatbek Dyusupov, as a national judge of the Republic of Kazakhstan, promised a fair and honest refereeing. During a mandatory working meeting with representatives of universities, the head judge personally checked documents and composition of the teams. The Universiade Regulation contains strict requirements, including the mandatory presence of an insurance for participants in case of injury. In recent years, an athlete's insurance is required for participation in any competition. The judge noted that indeed the teams were strong, and an interesting fight was ahead.
The main event - the Opening of the 2020 Presidential All-Round 2020 dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasyr al-Farabi - is held on the 21st of February 2020. We wish the participants good luck and hope that a lot of fans will come to support the teams!
